Beautiful voice, lyrics, and pickin'. My son also loves and plays the old Son House, Robert Johnson and early Dylan music as well as writing his own. You reminded me of him so much I had to buy your CD--don't get me wrong. I love your music, too.

I saw JD at a community center on Saturday, March 17. It was a terrific show. At the show I bought his CD which I recommend highly.
I would add that the first 25 seconds or so of the first cut, "Illinois Blues", is distorted, whether thru design or malfunction I do not know. But be prepared for that.
All of the cuts are good but I would single out (for my taste) the third cut, "Wealth Won't Save Your Soul", a cover of a Hank Williams song. It is a beautiful song, period, and JD sings it perfectly, with a somewhat gravely voice backed by very smooth guitar work. Just a great song, with the right video and marketing to back it I could see it as a hit single.
It's all good - check it out. JD is a talented and hard working artist.
